The description states the kit includes calculators, a case and teaching tools for the calculators in english and spanish. I returned the kit and received a refund without any problems. The company was very responsive and helpful in the return process, however they did not address the issue that I never received the item as described or if they even carry that item.

(More customer reviews)Prior to getting this, I have been using a Dell provided Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, made by Logitech I believe.
Which means I'm probably a little spoiled for wireless products. The only fault was that the battery life was a bit less than I would have preferred. Indeed, I was also intrigued by quiet typing and water resistance claims. So, I took the leap and got this Microsoft set.
First the bad. The mouse is worthless. Really is. I've gotten used to the side buttons and other features of my present mouse. This mouse has the two buttons and a scroll wheel. The two buttons work okay, but the wheel makes for entirely random scrolling. It does not keep a steady speed, has no relation to the mouse setting in windows, and the average speed of scrolling is immensely slow, only a couple of lines.
Add this to the fact that affects both mouse and keyboard. The wireless connection is rather disappointing.
This set comes with a receiver that plugs into a usb port. The receiver is needlessly designed to look like an interesting addon. It is about the size of two mouses put together, with green lights on top that light up when connected. I'm a bit bothered by all the little lights computers seem to insist on and this just makes for more bother. If you could hide it, that might be okay, but the signal isn't strong enough. I have it right under my monitor and still get popups saying it has lost connection. It was really bad with the mouse, but still occasionally lapses with the keyboard, that is a foot away.
Any obstruction causes more problems. A real hassle. And adds to the general imprecision.
The keyboard itself is nice. The key noise really is significantly quieter. I've not tested the water resistance, but am comforted that it is there. The layout is a bit wider than other keyboards I've used, making for an initial bit of transition as I have to reach a bit farther for the higher keys. Those with smaller hands might find it uncomfortably wide. The programmable and media buttons are certainly handy, making for really quick access to programs that might not be always within an easy click.
Yet, I'm not sure such ease overcomes the deficiencies. I've already gone back to my bluetooth mouse. Now I'm using two usb ports for mouse and keyboard, a situation that may not continue and may get me to retire the microsoft keyboard as well. Which is sad. I wanted it to work better, but am ultimately frustrated by the wirelessness of the wireless.
It's not too costly, but the frustration it brings might justify either a little more money to get a setup that can be used without frustration, or invested in a non-wireless combo that provides all the functions without any batteries or bother.

Their description didn't list the size of the calculator - but I assumed it would be good for someone vision impaired. It was a standard size calculator that I could have bought at Target. I called their customer service for a return authorization stating their info was misleading - they were rude and unhelpful.

The display is huge and the buttons are all within reach of your thumb for one handed use. The back pops off with the removal of 6 screws for idiot proof battery replacement. It has stood up to light ran and drops on the ground. It a good little cheap calculator, I hope mine last a long time because I want one just like it when it inevitably brakes from the way I treat it..

The calculator is slightly bigger than regular hand held calculators but it feels like a regular desktop printing calculators. The buttons doesn't feel too clunky or slippery. The battery is easily replaceable by unscrewing a small slot, which you don't need to take the entire back casing to remove the battery. Though the price is a bit high (4 stars), I expect this calculator to last for at least 15 years (For those of you who are picky about depreciating fixed assets).

(More customer reviews)This calculator is a great uprgrade from the Ti-84 and Ti-89 series. It is more that worth the price. Not many people have them only because the Ti-84 are recommended by schools. They are recommended by schools because that is what their teachers and instructors know how to use and therefore are familiar with the operations. If you go with the Ti-Nspire, which I highly recommend, buy the Ti-Nspire for Dummies at the same time because you won't find many people in which to ask for advice. Within a week you will be light years ahead of all of the Ti-89 and Ti-84 users if you go through the dummies book.

The solar function did not work at all and the battery that was in it was VERY low, lucky i had a battery laying around (a 1.55v 389 watch battery) to put in and now its just a battery powered calculator with a nice looking but totally useless solar panel on it but it still does what i need it to.

(More customer reviews)A GREAT LITTLE MACHINE AT A GREAT LITTLE PRICE! This calculator, the Sharp Elsi Mate EL-243S lies f-l-a-t in your hand or on the table. This means that it can be put in pocket or purse...and take up VERY little room. It is VERY light in weight...and even comes with a protective plastic cover, to make it extra-safe from breakage whilst travelling!
Many calculators I have tried do NOT have CE (clear entry) key working with division or multiplication. That means, if you want to multiply, say 3 x 4, but mistakenly put in 3 x 2, you can press the CE key, and not have to re-enter the 3! (This is VERY helpful in more complicated calculations!) Usually, the CE key works just fine with addition and subtraction....but here, it works with multiplication and divisiion, too!
The keys are a nice, soft, responsive rubber. They rise only the smallest fraction of an inch from the keyboard base, but are still extremely easy to use!
The protective, hard-plastic cover contrasts nicely with the soft rubber keys, It securely fastens over the calculator, but should be easy for most people to open and close. (For those with manual dexterity problems, please note: if you have any problems opening and closing the cover -- after getting someone else to open and close it several times, it should be easier to open and close yourself!
The numbers on this calculator are very LARGE, considering its size. They are also quite LONG and THIN! This might help me -- and anyone else who uses this calculator -- to help lose weight! Because, after using the Sharp Elsi Mate EL-243S for a week or so, when one goes back to most other calculators, the numbers on these others look stocky and stubby!
The elegant, long, large and thin numbers of the ElsiMate EL-2435 look almsot ARISTOCRATIC by comparison! A real weight-losing catalyst!
This calculator is also SO small, SO unobtrusive, SO handy, that I'd
also call it, 'my "007" calculator'. Because -- with everything else he must carry -- James Bond would hardly have room for any other calculator!
(Unless, of course, his would be specially outfitted to fire bullets and/or dispense poison!) In any event, the fold-over case can hide a secret message or two! (Or even a to-do list -- for James Bond, or anyone else!)
all in all, a fine, rugged, easy-to-use little basic calculator! With a fold-over case, which can be used as a. "secret compartment"!

You will NOT receive the calculator pictured (and still listed as model HC502A in the product description further down the page).
The actual calculators received (1 ordered and 2 replacements) were ALL incorrect models (# HC520A), much larger and NOT pocket sized. In response to my message and then telephone call to Amazon about receiving incorrect models, their solution was to change the model number in the heading to the one NOT pictured and NOT described in the listing as model #HC502A. What you will actually receive is model #HC520A, a LARGE and entirely different calculator. Amazon was made aware of this but chose to change the model number in the heading instead of correcting the problem. Again, you will NOT receive the small calculator pictured and described in this listing.

The TI 32 also has an attractive case and battery and solar power. It has dual line display which allows you to see the problem and the answer at the same time. There are no problems with it at all and it is extremely fast. It also has a memory so you can scroll back and look at your previous calculations. It is such an amazing calculator for such a low price.
