Aurora DT403 Dual Power Desktop Style 12 Digit Profit Margin Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)When it arrived in the mail i opened it up and turned it on and very quickly learned two things... The solar function did not work at all and the battery that was in it was VERY low, lucky i had a battery laying around (a 1.55v 389 watch battery) to put in and now its just a battery powered calculator with a nice looking but totally useless solar panel on it but it still does what i need it to.

Aurora HC520A big 8-digit LCD, solar and battery handheld calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The product pictured is an approximately credit card sized model #HC502A calculator and the heading originally listed it as such but now the heading has been changed to list the calculator as model #HC520A - a much larger calculator and the one you will receive if you order this one. You will NOT receive the calculator pictured (and still listed as model HC502A in the product description further down the page).
The actual calculators received (1 ordered and 2 replacements) were ALL incorrect models (# HC520A), much larger and NOT pocket sized. In response to my message and then telephone call to Amazon about receiving incorrect models, their solution was to change the model number in the heading to the one NOT pictured and NOT described in the listing as model #HC502A. What you will actually receive is model #HC520A, a LARGE and entirely different calculator. Amazon was made aware of this but chose to change the model number in the heading instead of correcting the problem. Again, you will NOT receive the small calculator pictured and described in this listing.

Texas Instruments TI503SV Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought this calculator to keep in my desk drawer for simple problems of the four basic mathematical functions. I also have a TI-30Xa scientific calculator in there, but it is much more cumbersome to use, particularly when using memory functions. This is an extremely basic calculator, has very large numbers for ease of reading, and is very inexpensive, making it perfect for general use around the house, like balancing the checkbook. It actually can take square roots and do percentage problems, so basic math students could rely on it for elementary math work.
The one annoyance I had with the calculator concerns the instructions: you have to download them from the web in a PDF file; none are included in the package. (Not that you really need them for anything.) Although TI didn't include instructions, they did include an enormous and unwieldy, multi-lingual product registration sheet in the package in an apparent attempt to get customer names into their database (no doubt for marketing reasons.) I can't imagine someone paying postage to register a calculator that they paid five dollars for.
Despite the above nitpicky critique, I think this is a great little calculator, and I recommend it highly to anyone for their basic mathematical computations.

An indispensable tool for students, households, and offices for quick math calculations, figuring finances, or converting cooking measurements, the TI-503SV pocket calculator is always at the ready with its large clear LCD, three-key memory, and battery-conserving operation.
This compact unit measures just 5 by 3 by 0.5 inches and has a +/- switch key to simplify entering negative numbers. The 7-millimeter-tall character display is easy to read, and the soft large keys are comfortable to operate. The sizable eight-digit display is not sacrificed to the small size. Easy to use when traveling, in the kitchen, classroom, or home office, the TI-503SV is so economical you can have one in each room. Plus, an automatic shutoff feature conserves battery life.

Aurora SC150X 8 Digit 131-Function Hardcase Scientific Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I work as an engineer, so a basic function calculator is not good enough for me. This calculator has all the scientific functions most people will need (including conversions to and from binary, hex, octal, and decimal). Although not programmable, it does have several levels of parenthesis (RTFM for the details ;), and some statistic functions. The main thing about this calculator I like is the size. Its slightly bigger than a playing card and thin as a candybar type cellphone. Because its small and light, I can carry it around in a shirt pocket. I liked the SC150 better (older model) because it was even smaller (about 3/4 the size), and that's what I wanted when I bought this. I guess they must have gotten some complaints about it being too small, because this new model is now the size of many other calculators.

Aurora HC127 Dual Power Executive Foldable Style 8 Digit Hardcase Calculator Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This was a replacement after 5 years of heavy use. It has a number of pluses: 1) A cover that stays closed until you are ready to open it, 2) a larger screen, 3) bigger keys, 4) Decidely durable whether in pocket or purse. Prior to finding this calculator, I was replacing them about every 6 months. Out of a max of 5 stars, I give it a 6.
