(More customer reviews)I purchased this adding machine in Sept of 2008. Now here it is March 2010, Not even two years later, it is falling apart. It prints when I have it on no print. Does not always give the correct total.
When I called Canon and told them, they said it only has a limited 1 year warranty. I was very pleasant to the rep when I asked if there was any other alternatives, and he said "OH Well, nothing more I can do"
I will not buy a Canon again!

(More customer reviews)This unit has good touch on the keys, good display and excellent printing for a 10-key. But I work in finance, and need good capability in calculating lots of percentage changes, and for that this model is AWFUL. The Cost, Sell, and Margin keys are somehow screwed up, and you can never get a proper answer, and yes, I have read the manual. I have to resort to a handheld calculator to get a correct result for percent change, such as a stock price appreciation. And that's pretty basic stuff. I would look elsewhere for a 10-key unless all you need is to +, -, x, & ÷.

(More customer reviews)As a CPA an adding machine is like an extension of my right hand at times. No matter how computerized things get I'll always want my trusty little adding machine. Since I found this little Canon about 5 years ago I've changed jobs a couple times, and every time I HAD to order this exact machine because of its ease of use and attractiveness. (I finally bought one with my own $$ for my current position so that I can take it with me if/when I move on to something new.) It has a nice silver color with a black "cover" over the blue numbers on the display. It has a clock and calendar option. It prints black positive numbers and red negative numbers.
If you get one of these, make sure you open up the top and take the tape off the ribbon. It's like scotch tape (or something similar) put on there for shipping. If you don't take it off, you'll think the machine is out of ink during the first week or two because the ribbon won't be moving.
